Carter Development Group (CDG) is a mission-driven consulting firm that fosters inclusive leadership, equitable systems, and transformative change in organizations and communities. We provide services in organizational development, strategic planning, executive coaching, organizational assessments, and business development across government, education, nonprofit, and private sectors.

As we grow, we are seeking a skilled Executive Project Specialist to provide high-level operational and administrative support to the CEO. You will serve as the organizational anchor, helping us stay on track, manage key relationships, and move forward with excellence.

Location: Remote (U.S. based)
Position Type: Part-Time (20 hours/week)
Compensation: $30/hour
Reports To: Dr. Adrian N. Carter, CEO

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage CEO’s calendar: schedule meetings, send confirmations, and organize daily briefings
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings
  • Track key projects, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Maintain and update databases
  • Track, organize, and update certification renewals (e.g., 8(a), MBE, DBE)
  • Maintain up-to-date records of NDAs, Associate Agreements, and Agency Agreements
  • Organize digital files, meeting notes, and SOPs across Google Drive and other platforms

 

Required Qualifications

Education: Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience in administrative or operational support, with at least 1 year supporting executive leadership

Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and follow through with minimal supervision
  • Comfort with tracking multiple projects, stakeholders, and agreements
  • Detail-oriented with high organizational skills.
  • Use of AI language learning model software, such as ChatGPT.
 
Technical Proficiency
  • Microsoft 360 Workspace
  • Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Calendly
  • Project/task tracking tools (Microsoft Planner)
  • Comfortable learning new systems and maintaining databases
